| Shimkus hears debate on use of antibiotics in meat production |
U.S. Rep. John Shimkus, R-Ill., wants someone to show him the science. “Until I’m shown a scientific connection between antibiotic use in animals and increasing antibiotic use in humans, which nobody has shown me yet, I’m going to side with the use in the ag sector to help the animals so we have healthy food in the food chain,” he said.
